After all the dithering, I've backed too. I've gone for the starter set enabling me to thematically play everyone without treading on toes - it seemed like I get a lot of extra stuff for £15 more. It also means that the free ship exchange should be much neater, and multiplayer games might make a degree of sense.

What I like is that customiseable nature of the kits means that my UCM are unlikely to be exactly the same as Pete's, and my Scourge should differ from Mike's.

Also good! I'm quite tempted by the space station set. Will see about that closer to the end I think.

The thing about the extra stuff, from what I understood from the video i watched, is thqat stuff after the KS shouldn't cost any more/less. It was more about the funding to get the molds for the plastic kits.

So space stations etc are a later priority for me. I'll only look at KS exclusive stuff.

Theres some painted Cheatari up on the KS page now. Boy do they look fiddly to paint!

In addition to their inevitably chesty rules, the Cheatari get more stuff in their box than other factions. Admittedly the small round things are unlikely to be actual fighting ships, but it's still an extra three things...that's a bit cheaty.

They're void gates, for deploying troops to the surface, apparently. According to the update they work best with a mothership.

The PHR stuff looks like Whales with underbites... Ha!

So they posted more details of the activation cards... just enough detail in fact to convince me not to bother getting them! I thought they'd be more worthwhile than they really are.

Yeah, i think they realised the cards worked well in DZC but couldn't come up with a decent use in this

I'm toying with dropping my pledge to a single army and getting one. Although it will bugger up the swapping party. But getting two starts to be a bit daft in terms of cost.

In yesterday's update they said the cruise liner will be available as a bolt on too. Will almost certainly get that. One for Kieron to get and arm as resistance!

I'm probably not going to get a Battlecruiser. However, I'm definitely considering swapping or selling one of my fleets to facilitate getting more stuff (for example, there's a guy I know from BMG events who's wanting to swap his Scourge for UCM). There's no way I can keep up with the arms race with two fleets - I have enough trouble with that with the Resistance.

The cruise liner is apparently a scenario piece and the stat line will be freely available, so technically you could use anything for it. I have a couple of models that might work, depending on size.

Think Matts getting the cruise liner anyway

Give everyone money to add an extra.cruise liner to their pledge, assemble them all differently and proxy UCM rules for a Resistance fleet. Repurposed civilian vehicles are how they roll after all... And it would look good!
