Dropzone Commander!

So, we played and it's pretty good! Speed (and remembering the mission) are more important than in most other games I've played. The whole system is very dependant on keeping mobility (as Pete discovered in the endgame) and the back and forth action every turn flowed really well in our game.

Anyway, we'll be having another Crack Wednesday night so more opinions to follow...

I got a bit excited here and forgot that the reason I didn't say I'd turn up tonight at the weekend was because I have to get up at 5 to catch a train to London tomorrow. So I'll give it a miss tonight. Let us know how you get on though! I'm increasingly tempted to pop into the Outpost and buy some stuff.

I'm tempted to send you in for stuff too! They're the cheapest I can find if you don't include the postage, but you can order stuff to be picked up in store...

It's available for free now. Download that version and I'll tell you the stuff that's different in the real one if they don't make it available. There won't be many changes.

I think I know how my army works now, in as much as I know how to neutralise Pete's anyway. Commanders aren't the "game-changers" I expected either, both were more threat than actual contributors in the game where we used them.

Yes, 2 good games, same objectives but both games were completely different. Won 1 each.

Unfortunately Mike has cheated by working out how best to use his army quite early on.

Wes, that's a free army builder. They released an errata a day or so ago that altered some points a bit but this is up to date

I won! Again! Really enjoying it. Different mission last night, worked differently. Mikes army is fine, he just sucks at wargames!

Its true, he won. And he didn't cheat this time either!
I was lacking in infantry and the mission outplayed me. Two bombs!! Two!

But yeah, still loving it, and still learning new things so it's all good...
