Age of Sigmar - Free Rules

It would appear that GW are actually in the process of changing. They've posted free core rules and army lists on their website. Anybody feel like giving it a try?

I'm suspicious. I think they'll get you some how. Maybe there's a subliminal message in the rules or something...

From what I can see, they give you army lists, organisation tables, rules, but no way of balancing your games. However, if they want to give me something for free, I'm happy to let them.

It doesn't hurt to download the rules, the scenery stuff and the lists for the armies you own.

Go on...give in...you know you want to...

When we've got proper Internet again I'll give it a go!

And I don't think gw games have been balanced for years anyway!

No points in the games. Just bring what you want and discuss with your opponent.

There's quite a lot of tension being expressed online.

There are also some downright silly rules in there. Kurt Hellborg's re rolls to hit from his runefang only work if you have a bushier moustache than your opponent. For the Screaming Bell, if you can roll 13 on two dice, you auto win.

I'm actually quite intrigued now.

It's sounding less and less like I'll be bothered about it the more I read!

It looks like they've deliberately killed WFB as a tournament game. It seems they want to encourage a 'use what you have' approach. Perhaps realising that they lose customers before they've actually built a useable army.

I'm more interested than I was playing 8th. I'm willing to give it a go at least. I had no desire to play the game as it was.

Although the new models are not right at all.

Why are there Space Marines?!
