All sounds a bit cowardly to me. But in Mother Russia, tank use man for protection, not other way round.

No, but my tanks aren't as cheap as everyone else's!

The Panzer II is cheaper than the Sherman. Mind you, inexperienced tanks aren't great. I think Matt have made a good call going for a Recce vehicle instead as it keeps it in the game longer.

Although I never used the Recce ability, the threat of it kept the Puma safe (no point firing at it if it won't be there).

I suppose the answer to it is to pour low penetration shots at it. Being inexperienced it has to take the pins (even if they can't damage it as per recent errata) or run away, which reduces it's ability to get into a firefight with a proper tank.

Anti-tank rifle and HMGs appear to be the order of the day.

Is the Puma inexperienced?

Has to be if he's using the Partisan list.

No, he's allowed one captured vehicle from the German list which must be inexperienced. He deliberately chose the Puma to try to negate the rubbishness of inexperienced tanks. A couple of pins puts them effectively out of action.

Also it's only 128 points, which isn't too bad, and has dual direction steering so it can make a run move in reverse as its recce escape thing.
