Do you still get WS&S delivered? I'd like to borrow the latest one if I can, I think it's got an article about using black powder for ACW.

It is last month's issue. I'd completely missed that. I've also discovered that issue 66 has a complete Gettysburg campaign in it. Might be worth a look as guidance for building our forces.

I was reading it last night. It's a random force generator for Black Powder. It focuses on unit size, troop quality and weaponry but doesn't cover numbers of units. Merging it with the Bacchus generators will be easy to have completely randomly generated forces.

I also read the campaign. It's a series of small scenarios which cover the first day at Gettysburg. It looks like a decent project to work towards.

Cool. I'll have to have a look at that then.

I've got the first two regiments (infantry base plus skirmish base) painted now, they just need flags. Since Wes is slacking badly making a valiant effort to finish his bolt action army before moving onto the confederates, I'm going to just do one more regiment and some commanders for now, then move onto something else for a bit.

Well as I look at it, we'll have two Union brigades and be opposed by a few skirmishers. I say we invade the South now and win the campaign...

This is a brilliant idea. Don't know why they didn't think to invade while the other side was still painting.
