We basically just go shopping, so we didn't venture into the tournament bit. Did you do well?

Playing WAB? Is that still allowed?

Didn't GW erase the history of the world and start it again with Greek Hoplites that look suspiciously like Space Marines? Or am I getting confused?

There were 16 in the competition. I came 11th Dan came 7th. I had played one game of WAB in the last 2 years, Dan had played none!
The guy who beat me in my last game came 3rd.

Mostly old faces with a couple of new ones.

Answers go: Yes, No and Yes.

The system that was cancelled was FoW. Not enough entrants!

That's an interesting point about FoW. A combination of other games arriving (Bolt Action), and continually neglecting whole swathes of WW2 in favour of ever later war?

You are correct.
The late war periods addressed got narrower and narrower too.
They have also been doing the Great War and putting their product on line as lists.
The Zvezda and Plastic Soldier stuff must have been denting their profits.

Can't remember when I last bought new. It might have been the SU 100's I played against you.
