Indeed it could. Of course it could also be shit. We were talking about it at lunchtime - our guess is that it'll all be set in the future, with the resistance fighting the machines, rather than the terminator-sent-back-through-time-to-further-inconvenience-the-Connor-family bit.

Oh yeah. That wouldn't be much of a game.

Turn 1 - run away.
Game ends.

Kieron would feel right at home playing it though!

I think this is more up Matt's street. Just imagine a game where it's actually in the rules that you can go back in time and change what happened in the previous turn...

Surely this is doable cheaply with second hand GW Necrons?

I'm not sure cheap and gw should be in the same sentence.

Excellent Lilley time travel joke though!

Well I've already go lots of apocalypse survivors still to put together, which would be ideal for the resistance... Of course we should probably find out what the game actually is first.

Imagine if it's one where you might have to actually buy models! We'd never play it!

My point is what's the USP of the game? If we wanted to do a terminator game we could easily do it with something like Necromunda as a base set of rules.

Rules for the various sorts of hunter-killers, possibly. Dunno. All we've got is a trailer for the film at this point...

Here's a thought. Do you think they'll use their Beyond the Gates of Antares rules for it? They've been developing this set of sci-fi rules for some time and it seems odd to develop another set in tandem.

Alternatively, will they use the Bolt Action engine?

From what i understand the antares rules are bolt action with laser guns

I quite want this now. Don't know which side I'd rather be though! Resistance is all ramshackle, machines have terminators...

Maybe don't use anything and just watch Terminator Salvation again?

Those terminator models do look nice though. Shortest paint job ever as well!

They do indeed. I'm taking the "30mm" comment to mean they'll be taller than the humans. Which is sort of good, but also sort of wrong.

I'm interested to see how this game works. Is it just going to be Bolt Action in the future? Is it going to be a skirmish sort of thing? I would guess probably the former so they can sell more models, since the head of Warlord is an ex-head of GW...

Also, will there be hunter-killers? Because I really want there to be hunter-killers. Especially the ground ones that appear in the flashforward bits of T2.

It's a good game for Kieron as he can proxy any model he owns and claim it's a T1000....

You're going to look pretty silly when it turns out that a standard sized force is 1 million points.

It pains me that not only do I want to play this, but the film also looks interesting! Not normally bothered about Terminator at all, i thought T2 was rubbish after the first one, but I might be tempted to have another crack...

Damn.

You may be the only person I've ever met that though T2 wasn't good. Although I think you say things just to look different sometimes. On this occasion I brand you a buffoon!

Justnthoughtnitnwas all a bit silly after how clever the first one was! Its a LONG time since I watched it though, might suffer through it again to validate my opinion
