I'd like to give this Munchkin board game a go, the playtime is suggested at 1hr, so should only take us about 3...

I think it's more of a card game.

On the subject of board games, I've got the old Heroquest hame from MB. You're probably all too young to remember it. It's old fashioned fun. Just a suggestion.

There's also whatever games we've managed to convince our poor saps of families to buy us.

I had that! Used to play it with my brother and parents. We took it in turns to run the game, when I was a player I was the wizard. I got all the add ons, including the dungeon designer thing with the stickers, and got my first citadel colour paint set for the models. It's directly responsible for getting me into Battle Masters, then 40k, then everything else.

So, because Pete hates fun, we agreed last night to do 800 points each of 28mm BA, and we'll determine sides on the day so no one can tailor their list against a specific opponent.

Do we want to try to fit in anything else miniatures-based? Star Trek or X-wing maybe? Or do we just want board games?

If that means there's a chance of me not losing half of my force to Matt's cheaty-no-skill bombs because he's on my side, then I'm in!

That's right! The fact that they've gone off in almost every game, normally twice, is just a weird statistical fluke.
