Bolt Action 2 offer at Outpost until Midnight tonight!

If you order the new Bolt Action book before midnight from the Outpost you can have the free plastic box, like from Warlord, but it only costs £24.

So I've done that. If anyone else sees this in time, they could do it too. If not, tough. Ha!

You have to email them after ordering to say which box you want.

I went for more Germans. I'll have loads, might do a very infantry heavy force or just make several different options. Not sure yet.

It means Light AT Guns can actually try to do stuff. Although their gun shields have been nerfed.

And autocannons. Which makes my little tank more useful!

Rulebook has been shipped! Not sure how it gets to me by boat...?!

Just collected mine! Firing pintle mounted machine guns make tanks open topped now! That's handy for the opponent...

Fortunately, Russians don't fit bonus machine guns on their tanks. They just make open topped assault guns as standard.

My first thought was wes's Sherman - he either has to drop a machine gun's shooting or risk return fire from small arms now.

Oooh! Hitlers buzzsaw now gives extra shots to mmg's mounted on vehicles too!

This combined with them having 5 shots rather than 4, means I now get 6 shots! Marvellous!

Assault weapons (including assault rifles) in close combat just bestow the tough fighters rule now. Which tones them down quite a bit, probably a good thing. My pistol partisans are a bit less scary now.

Picked mine up. Didn't think about the free US general. Should probably have got the US box...but...swords!

You've got to say where you're moving to before you measure. Subtle, but could be significant.

Medics can't fire any weapons or assault. Stops the tournament tools driving one round in a jeep firing an MMG...

Can their minders still shoot? Or do they all count as orderlies?

Me too. Right now I'm more keen on this than Dropfleet - but that's likely to change when a big box arrives...
