Plans for Next Year

I thought I'd see what's on the agenda for 2016. For me, I've got a few army projects to start/complete.

Flames of War Mid War Americans:

I'm considering doing a 'Tale of 4 Armies' thing on my blog.

I still need to finish off my Resistance for DZC, but I'm aiming to do this over Cristmas, but then I'll probably add to them. As ever, I will keep chipping away at my Batman stuff and buying more.

I've got a set of rules for my recent Marvel stuff I want to test out, and I have other Marvel characters and teams to add in time.

Finally, there's Dropfleet Commander, whatever I get for Crimbo, the possibility of Imperial Assault, and whatever else takes my fancy during the year.

So...not much really. How about you?

Stream of consciousness alert.

I've been trying to decide what I'm going to tackle next year, but really I don't have a clear plan at all, for the first time in a while.

I've just finished (insofar as any of these things are ever finished) my Bolt Action French and DzC Shaltari forces.

I don't really want to start anything else that will mean buying from scratch - I've got Dropfleet Commander on the way for that - and yet again it would be good to chip away some more at the massive pile of unpainted (in some cases unassembled or even unopened) stuff I already have.

So, in no particular order, some things I could tackle...

Bolt Action French (I was lying about these being finished)

• Medium Howitzer (I'll need some crew)
  
• Transports (I have one small truck available at the moment, I'd like to make it a fully mobile force eventually but that will take ages)
  
• Objectives, even bits of Maginot Line
  

Shaltari (ditto)

• Various options I don't have yet
  

Bolt Action Germans

• Grenadiers - basically so I can have regulars/veterans in my force. I don't need much here, in fact I think with models I already have I can build a decent force.
  
• Stupid Warlord Opel Blitz That Doesn't Fit Properly And Will Almost Certainly Require Me To Mangle Both Doors
  

Black Powder 6mm ACW Union

• 7 regiments + skirmishers

• Loads of stuff - I think if I did enough for some sort of skirmish game it might get me started at least. I'd love to have this stuff painted, I don't relish actually painting any of it...

Obviously, that's way too much for a year. I think for what I do next is a toss up between the Bolt Action Germans and some terrain bits, but it's anyone's guess really. I might just pick things up at random for a while, until I get into something.

Didn't you buy that about 2 years ago? I had mine assembled and painted within a week! Get it done, Berlin needs a RADAR station.

There's plenty of stuff in the list above that I've had waiting for much longer than 2 years. I bought the Opel Blitz at the same time!

There is no chance that I'll have it done before Tuesday. It's entirely feasible it will be in next year's list of things.

So we're a couple of weeks in now, how's everyone doing?

I've always got a billion projects happening at any one time, so I'm not making a list. I will, however, commit to one:
       -By the end of February I want to be up to date in painting my Chaos Dwarfs for KoW. I do have a new regiment incoming, and I've a couple of peices that I need conversion bits for so I'm not including those in the target. But yeah! Want to get it done!
