With the new starter set, there are now 5 factions for this.

Rebels
Empire
Scum and Villainy
Resistance
First order

Think I'm going to buy the new starter set. Might be a good place for Wes or Mike to start from!

Anyone going to buy any more stuff for this?

It is one of my favourite games, but get a bit put off by having to sort out both sides whenever we play.

The only reason you need to this for me is to prevent our stuff getting mixed up.

I'll play. I do plan on getting more at some point.

You can get the new starter off amazon for £22.17. Trying to resist but it may not last...

Was really tempted along with Josh when this first came out, but never saw a game. Now there's a billion things out, so it's a massive catch-up, and tbh the pre-painted stuff puts me off.

They look good. And some people repaint them.

The attack wing ones look awful, but I haven't had an x-wing one I was disappointed with.

I thought that was more to do with us having different stuff for Attack Wing. I'm perfectly happy to put forces together for games and bring them along.

I'm still toying with getting the scum and villainy set, I also want the rebel aces and a couple of ships from the computer game. If we start playing again, I'm more likely to buy more.

The new set is likely to get bough after I've seen whether the film sucks...

From what I've read there's a tweaking of the rules on it, sounds like they improve it

Also, the bug ship narrative campaigns would work well for multiplayer as you just split the forces between folk. It would be a good way to learn the game.

Mike, the pre-paints are probably the best I've seen, but plenty of folk repaint to personalise their stuff.

Honestly not decrying the quality, I've seen them and I agree they're nice, but it's like having half the hobby taken away.

I've some BFG Necrons knocking about anyway, so.I could just use them?

Possibly, but you'd need to borrow combat dials for whichever ship your using them for and have the bases for fire arcs.

Mind you, a neuron would probably work well as the senatorial transport, which is just a card counter in the box.

No immediate plans to buy more stuff.

If we did start collecting fleets I'd like to do Rebels, mainly because I already have the Millennium Falcon.

I also have a tie advanced, I think.

As it happens, if anyone is looking to get in to this, but doesn't particularly want to buy a starter set, I have a spare set of movement sticks and damage cards available.

3 new missions for us to play on saturday Wes! Theres also a very handy new "Rules reference" booklet that explains all the different parts of the game in alphabetical order.

Weirdly though, the targert lock tokens are still "A" on one side and "B" on the other. Mental.
