Why the funny bases?

It has a new system. Each side of the ship has a shield rating and different attack values.

Wonder how many different ships they'll do?!

Well initially for the Empire they'll have Star Destroyers (maybe including different classes), TIE Fighters, TIE Interceptors, TIE Bombers (possibly TIE Advanced and Slave I, can't really see the Lambda Shuttle fitting in).

For the Rebels they'll have: Corellian Corvettes, Medical Frigates, Transports, big Mon Calamari Cruisers, X Wings, Y Wings, A Wings, B Wings, Millenium Falcon

From the pictures there may even be different arrangements of fighters available.

Oh and somewhere down the line they'll release a £70 Super Star Destroyer for the real junkies.

It's $100 which is £60 - although there are three ships and ten squadrons, so it's a proper sized game even without boosters.

I'd better start saving up then...

Btw, do I get to pick my force for tonight or is it pre-planned.

Oh and shall I not bother bringing stuff and just use yours?

For the first mission you get:

Marek Stele(cluster missiles, marksmanship)
4 Black Squadron Pilots
100 squad points

The 100 points can be used to upgrade the black squadron pilots as well.

I have the following:

5 Tie fighters (all used above)
1 Advanced
3 Interceptors
1 Bomber
1 Slave
1 Defender
1 Phantom

You can't use Howl Runner or Captain Jonus cos they is like well dead innit

Actually, Marek Stele is in an advanced, so theres a spare tie fighter!

Oh, and the 4th mission you get 240 points. Obviously can't use any dead people, so you can plan your 240 ahead of time if you don't plan on using Marek Stele in the final game!

You then split this into 4 groups of 50-70 points.

For anyone that cares, Kieron still sucks at x-wing....
