On the subject of the Borg, I watched First Contact the other night and I was slightly amused by the Borg Sphere. In the movie, the Enterprise blew it up with one volley of torpedoes, whereas there's only the Voyager torpedoes that even stand a chance of doing that.

Just found it curious.

No, just amused by how tough Wizkids made the Sphere with all the evidence pointing to it not being that tough at all.

I still think x-wing is a far superior game. The main upside to attack wing being the different factions.

I played a 150 point game of X-Wing last night, and I agree. There's so much going on. I finally got to use my Falcon and B-Wing and played against the Lambda Shuttle and the TIE Phantom. I won, although true to form, I lost my B-Wing when I flew it into an asteroid right in front if three Imperial ships. Mind you, I also one-shotted two academy TIEs with my first two shots of the game.

The Phantom is an utter pain in the arse, it has unbelievable manoeuvrability and cloaking. It got the drop on Luke Skywalker and one-shorted him. However, Han Solo is its nemesis as he gets to shoot it whilst its cloak is down.

The Lambda is interesting. It seems that you need to build around it at the centre of your force as it's not a game changer in terms of damage.

I thought the phantom didn't exist?!

It wasn't mine. I won't be buying it but I did buy the Lambda Shittle yesterday.

I might pick up a Z-95 Headhunter and the Outrider because they're part of a continuity I remember.

Does the TIE Defender have Prince Xizor as a pilot?

That was the Enterprise-E! And Picard took the sphere by surprise! And it was busy attacking Earth! And other excuses!

Just watched this bit, Picard orders Worf to fire Quantum Torpedoes at the sphere which are the ones that Voyager has, so when the Enterprise E is released in Wave 8 then it'll probably have those as well.

That's something to look forward to...

Ah, but the really nasty voyager torpedoes in the game are multiphasic torpedoes. Not sure if that's supposed to be another flavour of quantum torpedoes though.

Doesn't just have to be Attack Wing, we could play some of our Works bargains.

I was just talking to Matt about this, one of the card games I bought is 2-3 players only so we could give that a go. It's only meant to be an hour or so long as well so we would have time to play other games. I'm pretty much free Friday, Saturday and Sunday night this weekend, so it's really up to you and Matt.

I can do any of the evenings. So it's up to Matt.

Actually Sunday would be a better evening for me. Can do Friday if you can't do Sunday, though.
