Bolt Action - setting a date

Pete, can we set a date at the end if February to definitely play Bolt Action, Germans vs Soviets? I need a bit of motivation to get them painted and a fixed game should help. I can't guarantee a points value, but it will be at least 500 points (I think).

Having previously assembled my Russians, base coated them in khaki and painted their boots, tonight I've done the base brown on all their rifles and weapon stocks. Progress is happening.

Next up: faces and hands!

I've worked out that not going to get them all painted. So I'll use my BUF for a couple of units and get the ones I'm doing done properly.

This means I'll definitely have 500 points at least.

You finished them all yet? What period is the force you're choosing from?

Barring doing the metal on them, I've done one squad of 11, a sniper team, an anti-tank rifle team, a command team, and I've begun work on the T-34. Due to work I've got to get done, I'm not sure I'll get more than that done.

Added to that, I'll have my free squad and a small veteran sub machine gun squad from my B.U.F.

I'm using the Kursk list as my T-34 is a 1943 76mm model.

Without using veterans I'm at 519 points so far. I should be able to get up to 600 points without to much fuss. I'll keep you posted on progress.
