The thing is, my plan was to create characters to begin a campaign and then upgrade weapons using the same sculpt as the campaign progressed, possibly converting some to zombies depending in what happened. The limitations on poses really causes problems for this idea as I don't want people to begin with automatic weapons; my campaign isn't set in Texas!
The little boy is damn near useless as you can with choose an SMG or a shotgun for him. The only way I can think of to get round this initially is to paint up the SMG as a toy (either a bright orange water pistol, or with a red barrel cap on it). I wanted him without weapons.
So far I've put together an office worker with a baseball bat (this was going to be the 'me' character for my solo campaign, but the lack if head options has scuppered this idea); a priest wielding a bible (men of the cloth don't begin the zombie apocalypse with an assault rifle); and a flailing mechanic with a crowbar and a Molotov cocktail (which I might explore removing).
It's not that I can't use them, it's just not as customisable as I'd hoped.
Btw Matt, those Studio Miniatures zombies are a good source of hands.
