Just found your earlier post on this thread saying it's Skaven. So a loss to the Khemri team would be hilarious. Please try to manage that.

In a change to the scheduled match, I'm taking the Slann instead.

Yes, I know they're crap, but they're already in the box I used for carting my current BB team about in. Also, I'm determined to learn how to use them properly.

2-0 to the Slann Frogcisco 49ers (1-2 on casualties)

In the first half, nothing went wrong for the frogs and nothing went right for the dead. A quick touchdown followed up by a blitz, stealing the ball and another score. Both were characterised by the Slann leaping about with unerring reliability and the Mummies failing to injure (or even stun) anything.

Despite an audacious passing move by the undead, the score was 2-0 at the break. The second half saw the traditional scene of a strong team moving steadily down field whilst an agile team threw everything at them to run down the clock. Again, an audacious leap led to the ball carrier being knocked down and a hectic fee turns as both sides scrambled and passed to gain an advantage. Slippery flippers and creaking bones meant that neither side made the decisive break and the score remained the same at the final whistle.

Mummies Curse are just living (dieing) up to their name. In the first half the Slann scored relatively easily, before the Blitz gifted them a second TD. The Slann managed to generally keep away from the Khemri players making it hard for the TG's and Skels to hit them, but even when they did get there, an average injury roll of 3 throughout the first half meant the Slann started the second at full strength. The second half was much more to plan with the Curse slowly grinding the ball up the left hand side of the pitch, until a Slann Catcher eventually leapt over the top and dislodged the ball. With a few turns of the ball then being turned over, but finally one of the TG's managed to stop a Slann from making it 3-0 in T7.

Play of the match, was an attempted pass to an empty square (T7 1st Half), by one of the Blitz Ra's to allow a Skel to scamper in in T8 of the first half. Whilst the play was all but perfect, with the ball ending just out of reach of the Slann, a good defense stopped the skel after he dodged out the way and Blitzed the one of the Slann standing alongside the ball. Shame he couldn't pick the ball up, and then complete the move with a dodge and a GFI. Slim chances are what makes BB, and none of the curse have been upgraded after two games, so we are ready for the next oppo now. Maybe I'll have to travel to Stocksbridge again!!!!!

OK Matt, So are there any League specific rules I need to know?
Are we using the YBBL version of the rule book or the redacted version put about most recently by GW?
I don't think the Slann were in the most recent one.

JP, I might just make it on Sunday. Need to consult with "She who must be obeyed" Smile

Use the most recent GW book for rules, but if you want to use Slann I've no problem with you using that team from the YBBL version - don't want to stop you using the team (and I think Kieron's gone for Slann already anyway).

No other league specific rules, unless I need to invent some later in order to win. Special play cards are allowed, but I've only known Kieron to ever actually use them.
