Preorders for the new boxed game and starter sets. Probably of most interest for Mike as the Military Starter set includes a Jo Grant-alike, along with suitable models for the Brigadier and UNIT.

As I've already got the first edition stuff, I'm not sure about this myself, but the standardised characters might be more suitable for quick games. Also I like some of the new mechanics.

Oh, and it's not a crowd funding thing.

Oh and there's already a 2nd edition Programme Guide which is rules for those not-Ghostbusters you still haven't bought Pete!

I like the Doc Brown model in the Action cast! Not that I can really see what you'd do with him, he's in a bit of a random mix of characters there.

I assume there's still going to be a separate rulebook? I did quite like the zombie game we did and I can see how you could do a lot of interesting stuff with the rules, but I don't think I'd get £40 of use out of it.

I'll end up with some more of the models at some point I'm sure, but I'm in no hurry. As far as the game itself, the DW rulebook is a free download and it'll be a Warlord product at some point so 7TV has no use beyond crossover potential. I'll let you buy this one Kieron! (just make sure it goes to the right address...)

The starters are a bit odd if decent value.

My major beef is that the characters aren't customiseable which makes it less useful for me.

Matt, the first edition stuff is still on offer as they run down their stock. I've got all the cards and tokens so we could easily knock up a cops and robbers game, or just use 'The Beat' cast stuff from their programme guide.

Mike, did you see on the forum
That they are trying to get enough people interested in some pre printed cards for DWMG?

I'm more interested in a Walking Dead type thing, to be honest, but I can see how you could use the rules for lots of situations.

Are we a club? If so there's offers available in a potential joint order...

£100 minimum spend though, not sure you'd hit that?

You know the rulebook is free right? What more do you really need?

I know this fact. I'm just sharing information that I thought might be interesting.

I would add that I find their timing weird as the run up to Christmas seems an odd time to get people to buy into a game that will be released afterwards.
