From memory, the key things are that you only have one command, so you don't switch back and forth during a turn (like you do in DzC for example), all the commanders are the same level, and there's no discipline rating so you can't do multiple moves with the same unit in a turn.

And the obvious one, the army lists are much more restrictive.

It'll be simpler though, probably a good place for us to start getting back into it.
