Pirates!!! :O

I've just thoroughly ruined my bank holiday by looking around on North Star's webstore. Apparently there's a rulebook of affordable price which covers 28mm naval battles, including pirate crews, the privateer fleet, the Conquista etc.

Ainsty are gonna ruin me.

Would you lot be up for it? Looks like a typical crew is 10-15 men, so not a massive outlay all done, and I'd have an excuse to buy the ships I've been pining for since February...

Ha! I've been avoiding buying pirates since Ainsty produced those ships a few years ago. Not planning any new projects right now though, only just got my DzC stuff. It's on my "one day" list.

As a more helpful response, our general approach with things like this is "you buy it, we'll play it". So Wes has both sides for Stargate, I have two armies for Force on Force, Kieron was the only one getting any Batman stuff for a long time and Pete got the big ships for X-Wing. If you could provide models for a pirate game we'd play it, and might decide to get some of our own afterwards.

Inhave an army of pirates i built to use as Dogs of War for fantasy, I'm surenitmwont take much to knock up a few crews when it arrives so we'll have to give it a go!

Not sure what to do for ships yet, might have to start as coastalmraids or something. Any of you have some peasantry?

Actually I have about a dozen villagers as it happens. I've also got the makings of a farm for you to raid.

Also I've got a load of Woodland Indians that might make for a fun scenario.

I need to find a British WW1 nurse with long straight hair, in 28mm... Any ideas?

At the moment, the best I can come up with is the matron from the Woodbine Designs Schoolmaster pack, but her hair isn't long and straight. I'll keep thinking.
