Easier Laid out Rules for Batman Miniatures Game

I don't know if you've already seen this site Kieron, but they seem to have laid out the special rules and stuff in a bit of a more quick reference manner. Thought it might be useful, I've been reading through it.

That's pretty handy. Especially the easier to reference special rules.

Whilst we're on the subject, here's some stuff we got wrong the other night:

Recovering from Stuns is 2d6 against your Endurance, not 4+ on a D6 Actually, we were partially correct, it's KO's that require an endurance roll.
KO models are hit on a 2+, not sure about whether this applies to models that are just prone


I'm sure there are more. I'll add as I find out.

Just had a quick look - this makes life much easier.

Another rule wrong:

Moving reduces your ROF to 1, not by 1. That has a significant impact on the effectiveness of some weapons and makes the Rapid Fire trait make more sense.

Green Arrow with ROF 1 and Rapid Fire, actually makes him a mobile shooter, not a static one. That should help.

So I might have accidentally signed up to a Batman tournament in December.

We can put together a gang that has similarities to the way the Watchmen play.

I figure that Batman, Nightwing, Robin, Catwoman should play in a roughly similar way to the Watchmen. They'll be a little more mobile but still be a small hard-hitting gang.

I'm going to try something a little odd with my Joker gang...not actually using the Joker.

Another mistake. It's MC that you use to manipulate items, pick up loot or move with loot. Not SC.

This is a big one.

You don't add any MC you spend on movement to your basic move distance. So for running, rather than adding the d6 to your 10cm move and then doubling, you double your move to 20cm and then add the d6.

This does make moving to and from sewers easier, but means that folk will generally be slower.

So I've been revisiting the rules this week, ready for the tournament, and I've discovered that I've been playing quite a lot of things wrongly. Most significantly, you calculate VPs at the end of each round. So you can be racking up points during the game.

Glad I found out before I went.
