Ordered some more german infantry to round out my squads.

Trouble is with all this, I'm on a strict no buying ban this close to Christmas. I suspect that plenty of folk are.

Having said that, if you feel like adding a single sprue of Russians to your order, I'll give you £2.50.

Ha! Recieved my order from warlord this morning, undercoated a sprue, started to assemble them.

Only on starting to paint them have i realised they've sent me US infantry sprues by mistake!

So, I've emailed them, i think they'll send me the correct ones, which means I now have the start of a US army for free!

Fiendish marketing idea, that.

They may be ebayed. Undecided!

Well its £20 worth of sprues, that I've "paid" £10 for. It's only the men, no weapons

You can buy the weapons sprues separately if that helps, although I think you can only do that direct from the Warlord website.

Yeah, and if that + whatever gouging price you charge is all Wes needs to pay for some extra infantry, might be worth it.

He has 40 infantry, i'm not sure he needs more! He needs other bits to fill out stuff.

I've got some suggestions...

You could use them as the German unit that disguised itself as Americans for raids.
You could make the Dirty Dozen or Kelly's Geroes with captured German weapons.
Matt could make some Free French to got with his Partisans.
Wes could create artillery crew, vehicle passengers or casualties.
You could get a Captain America to go with them.
You could hold onto them for when you inevitably buy the Tank War box and have spare Shermans.

Take your pick.

Also, why another 10 sprues of Hermans? (sometime autocorrect errors are worth keeping)

Wasn't 10 sprues, was 2 sprues of 5 men, making 10 Hermans!

That makes more sense.

My suggestion all remain good though, apart from the Dirty Dozen.

You could also make a scenic piece of dead Americans to goad Wes with when you play him.

I do like the Captain America idea! I'll see how painting the Brits goes. And at the moment I'm the only one with an army to play either of them against anyway!

You could play Captain America against my Red Skull and Hydra Goons.
