Being as we've begun to collectively invest, is there any interest in this?

I'd potentially be interested in a Panther as an opener to a German army, although a Sherman would be a possible add to my Russians. It's got the Tank War book and is only £80.

Sharing it might be a good intro into second armies...

Thoughts?

Actually, its not the right Sherman for Brits, its a Sherman v I'd want.

I'd be willing to buy this set and offer the tanks out at £14 each, if we can get someone for each tank.

5 x 14 = £70
Sell mini rulebook and dice (they're new style) for at least £5.
Get Tank War, a book you don't really want but would like to have a look at for maximum of £5.

Sounds like a plan!

I'm figuring that a Panther would keep any German force of mine really small.

The M4 does work for the British, they just weren't used as much as the M4A1. They also work for the Free French. It seems, however, that the Soviets didn't use them, although Warlord do list them in the Soviet section. Pesky fellas!

So the issue is selling 3 Sherman's...

Wes doesn't need one. Matt won't want one. Hmm. Suppose could try ebaying them but then so will everyone else!

And Wes might go for upgrading to a Tank War force. A bit of peer pressure should do it.

He could blog about the whole thing...

Also, wouldn't you keep a Sherman for the Brits?

If the others aren't interested, might it not be more economical to go for the three tank deal of 10% off?

Cromwell, Panther, Panther - £42.20

Mind you, if you sell a Panther to me for £14 and keep the other one (£20) and the Tank War book (£15), then anything you make over £30 for the Shermans and the rulebook becomes your saving.

Continuing on this subject...

The Flames of War starter box contains a lot of stuff. It might be a reasonable shared purchase at some point. I could make use of the PaK40s and Panzerschrek for my Germans and the U.S. Paras. Pete and Matt clearly need German infantry in their lives, and both need to add at least one Stug to their forces. We could make Wes create a British tank force...

Just a thought. Smile
